Why Matamata Property Owners and Trainers Call Us
One crew, more than a decade in concrete, and a Matamata list covering town sections and training properties alike.
Rural Crossings Built to the Road They Serve
The Matamata-Piako Development Manual requires rural and rural-residential vehicle crossings to be constructed to the same standard as the road they come off, to Drawing DG 307. We check what that road is surfaced with before quoting an entrance, so the specification is settled early.
Culverts Sized to the Matamata-Piako Development Manual
No culvert traversing a road or vehicle entrance may be smaller than 300 mm in diameter under the Matamata-Piako Development Manual. An entrance is only as good as the pipe under it, so we size and set the culvert as part of the entrance.
Non-Slip Finishes Where Horses Walk
Around 60 trainers and more than 700 horses use the Matamata Racecourse facilities on a daily basis, and the surfaces near them get walked on wet. We groove or broom stable and wash bay concrete across the line of travel, and stop the float finish short of a polish.
Slabs Set Against Council Matamata Ground Data
The council geotechnical assessment for Matamata zoning land logged sandy clay to 1.5 metres over sands and gravels at Tower Road, with peat between 4.3 and 4.6 metres. Both assessed Matamata sites were recorded as potentially susceptible to liquefaction. We read that before setting a slab specification.
Building Coverage Checked Under Rule 4.13.4
Rule 4.13.4(iii)(d) holds each dwelling exclusive net site area to a maximum 45 percent building coverage, and Rule 4.13.4(iii)(e) requires no less than 20 percent permeable surface of garden or lawn. We flag a Matamata infill job pushing either limit at quote stage.
The Same Crew That Starts the Job Finishes It
More than a decade in concrete, and Hamilton Concrete Contractors still runs one crew per job from break-out through to the final joint cut. The people who shoot your levels are the people who float the surface, and nothing gets handed to a subcontractor halfway through.
